Not as sweet as molasses, but just barely tips the scales on the sweeter side of the spectrum. Lingering roast bitterness, and some hop character. Not really a coffee or chocolate like porter to me; more like very heavily roasted malt or slightly burnt toast. Mouthfeel: Lighter bodied than expected; medium; active but not excessive carbonation. Fairly clean finishing for an ale. Overall: A nice change-up from my Ladies looking casual sex Paint rock Alabama 35764 porters, but not anything I'd go back to.
In the winter I appreciate easy-drinking darker beers, but this isn't really ever going to be a go-to, or even memorable for me. Perhaps this is milder on of the English style?
